Has anybody been down Indian Cabin Road in Mullica Township, Egg Harbor City, and Galloway Township? I hear there is some pretty unusual stuff down there. If you have been down there, please let me know what is there.

The "notable" sights on this glorified dirt road are the Shaller Grave next to Egg Harbor Lake and the old boy's camp at the end of Naegli Rd (complete with virgin mary statue out front). And yes the guy in the house will come outside if you stay in front of his property long enough but I don't blame him for doing so (leave the poor guy alone). If you are respectful to the houses in the area, try driving the road at night to receive a cheap thrill out of this local folktale. I, myself have been down this road about a dozen times with various different people who just had to have their fix of experiencing Indian Cabin Rd for themselves.

I've lived on a road that intersects Indian Cabin Road for 19 years and I've drive every inch of that road. I've never seen anything unusual. It's just a nice road through the Pines. And the section from Egg Harbor Lake to Darmstadt Ave. is single lane dirt. You shouldn't try it in anything other than an SUV or truck.

Yeah, I think they have mentioned Shades of Death Rd in North Jersey too. About 12 years ago we were camping in that area and I noticed it on a map so we went to check it out. Just a beautiful country road.

Shades of Death Rd. is apparently pretty cool. It runs along a lake or marsh, and at night mist forms in columns on the water and looks like ghosts or whatnot.
I guess I should have gone at night then. I don't remember a lake or a marsh but then again there are lots of things I don't remember.

Just saw this old thread and I'm bringing it back from the dead! Lol I lived off of Indian Cabin Rd. for most of my life and loved the history behind it. I think I remember reading it was a stage route from Batsto to Smithville back in the day. I knew it's path from the dead end triangle in Sweetwater at the river to the farms of Pomona, but I lost it after that. Well, I was invited to a weekend shin-dig at a friends house in Port Republic, and low and behold, he lives on a section of Indian Cabin Rd. It even has a small cemetery from the Revolutionary War Days. What a find. I checked things from the Sat photos and was able to make some path connections up to Leipzig Ave. I'll have to poke around that way again sometime and see what's between Port Republic and Smithville. Just thought I'd share.
I have friends that live out there. Its a very nice area in Mullica. I havent explored it too much, though.
