Ok, I'm sure everyone is thinking the same thing. Last week I was out jigging for stripers and we caught 3 summer fluke. Yesterday we were out in the pines saw two black racers. Now today the spring peepers are starting up in the retention pond. I'm starting to think I slept through winter.

Same here. I came home this afternoon to a green lawn and flowering bok choy (by this time the frost would have done a number on it, now it's bolting to seed!). Same here with the peepers too. I heard at least a dozen of them yesterday during a walk. Crazy weather!

This is a bit more than usual, but warm days in December and early January are pretty common IMO. Look at this from Philadelphia in 2013 for example...

Dec 21, 2013 - 67 degrees
Dec 22, 2013 - 68 degrees
Dec 23, 2013 - 63 degrees
I agree. Just about every year I get a chance to fire up the smoker and enjoy a 60 degree day. It feels like several years in a row it was always around New Year's Day. I've never heard the frogs start up though.

I was hearing on the radio that squirrels were giving birth. I bet they aren't happy about the temperature right now.
