My garden paths are now paved with acorns, looks like little cobblestones Heaviest I have seen in a long time; the squirrels are going nutz Earlier this month I wore a construction hat when they were falling really heavy.

I have been thinking the same here. LOTS of acorns, it's like walking on ball bearings on my little trails.

In spite of the drought and freezing temperatures, the oaks still have most of their leaves here, and maybe 50% are still green. Hope we don't get any freezing rain before they fall off.

There are several websites that buy acorns, one of them is acornodotcom. They offer 50 to 70 cents per pound. I don't know what their requirements are but if you have an endless supply, might be a good source for beer money.
