Its almost stink bug time

Nice trap, started noticing them about a week ago.
I didn't know they spray or did I miss the joke?
The only time they stink I thought is when you squash them then try and wash the smell off your fingers. Not a horrible smell, but....
They seem to try and get inside to hide in cracks, clothes and dark places for the winter. Do they do any kind of damage?
I never noticed anything and sometimes find one during the winter in a closet or emerge from somewhere and see in the kitchen, bedroom, etc.

I've never smelled them either. My kids killed one before I could stop them. Something with the stink in its name I expected to at least smell something. Maybe that one lost its stink;). I still don't kill them in the house just in case.
