It's Touron season...

in Yellowstone.

This (and other incidents) derives from what I've come to think of as the Bambi mentality. The idea that we humans are the center of attention/importance and that the natural world and all creatures in it are there for our entertainment. So, many of the families in national parks act like they are visiting Disney World, with the animals as selfie props. Hunters, falconers, farmers know better.
I love my dogs, but don't regard them as people in fur suits.
The native peoples called the animal species "other nations". I agree.
I like a world where we get reminded there are other apex predators.
