Coming past Rack's bar in Atco a few minutes ago and a J10 pickup pulled out of the bar onto the Pike next to me. It was cool to see.
A friend of mine had one for a woods truck many years ago and it was pretty bulletproof.
I remember them having solid axles and with Dana 44's in the front and Dana 60's in the back on the 3/4 ton models.
Yaaaargh !

Here's my first Pine Barrens exploring truck - a 1986 Grand Wagoneer. I owned it sometime in 1998. Sorry for the dusty scan.

I killed it by driving through a large puddle on either Hawkin's Bridge or Godfrey's Bridge road. The air intake was a hose that ran right from the carb to the front grill, and the motor swallowed a decent amount of water. Not enough to hydrolock the engine, but enough to make it burn a lot of oil.

That's why, even with more experience and more capable off-road vehicles, I am super paranoid about going into/through puddles.
