Netting and extermination of geese by gassing is sad and a waste of a valuable wildlife resource. I am fairly certain that no use is made of the meat, based on articles I have read in the past in other locations where this was done.
I would rather have to live with the problems associated with goose overpopulation than to see such wanton waste.
Farmer deer depredation permits issued in NJ also require disposal of the entire deer. No consumption is allowed.
