On Monday me and my friend went to the Aserdaten area, i did a little exploring, my friiend stayed with the car, i had the permadone treated clothes, he didn't, glad to report, no ticks, thanks again to Boyd and Sue. i will not give up exploring now, since i am protected, and to me the barrens are a 12 month thing.

I went through some vigorous cat brier and some swampy areas unscathed, except for some scrapes and a little blood, i am satisfied with my hour exploration.

Then we went off to Bamber Lake as he wanted to see the lake and environs, we walked over the little bridge at the spillway, somw kids were swimming there. I wanted to take a dip, but it is for residents only. I also liked the Ferrago Forge sign.

Then off to the Dover Forge canoe access area, i will say it is really a pristine setting.

Off then to rt.70 to Butler Place Road to BUckingham, would love to explore there, but when i saw the private drive sign, that was a turnoff.

Then off to show my friend the Pomeroy Crossroads stone, we then a little latter came upon a very pristine place with a plaque called the Pinelands preserve, we really liked that place, then to call it a day we arrived at rt.70 and Presedential Lakes, then off to home, it was a very rewarding day.

Jim,

Nice report. Most likely since you mentioned you had just been at Pomeroy Crossroads, you were at Reeves Bogs when you saw that Pinelands Preserve sign. I bet this is it.

Bobpbx posted a photo a while back showing himself in that building that at one time was right near that sign. He had long hair back when he was a hippy. :)

That bog is huge, first time i was ever there, my hair was shoulder length in the late 60's, the good ole days.
