A friend (my boss actually) and I want to head into the forest this weekend for another day of exploration. We usually drive/hike and photograph the usual ruins of the furnaces and other parts of nature. Any other places that would be worth the hike or trek to (IE hidden ruins I am SURE I have missed, old bridges, and some of these cemeteries that seem to be hidden in the forest)? I used to visit with a group but that concerns me b/c I am responsible but some of the others are not so much and I do not like finding these places for them so that they can come back and trash them later. So lately I have been going in with just he and I and our respective better halves. I am planning on def visiting Brooksbrae to start... Looks very neat. Any other suggestions? If they need to be handled by PM I understand... I am a GPS man so anything would be nice.

Since you are going to Brooksbrae, here are a few interesting places nearby. Start at the first one and if you are into walking you can work your way through them all easily. Or walk to the first two, go back to your vehicle and drive to the third one.

Burlington County Monument 21 right along the edge of the road.

This is an interesting old bridge. More scenic in the summer but still nice.

A Jersey Central RR switch.

Thanks I will add them to our list of the day. It amazes me the detail that you get from google maps. I am slowly trying to learn what I can about the forest as it fascinates me. Tough to get anyone to say anything to you though (wonder why!).
