Missing person in Jackson

I don’t know what happened here, but this missing man being randomly abducted or killed by a stranger with no motivating factors is probably the least likely scenario.

I spend a lot of time hiking alone in the Pine Barrens, sometimes after dark, and I feel quite safe out there. Statistically, you are much more likely to be the victim of a crime walking down the sidewalk of any city than walking in the Pine Barrens. Virtually all of the people I meet in the Pines are decent folk who would gladly render aid if you needed it.

I doubt it too. Worst I've ever seen in the pine Barrens are some grumpy hunters. I think it's more likely he got lost, I hope he's found soon whatever the case.

Hey everyone -

This is primarily a history and ecology focused website about the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Posting about police investigations and legal cases can open us up to legal issues which I would rather not deal with.

While I empathize with everyone out there who is missing a relative or loved one, that's not what the discussion here should be focused on. Any future threads along those lines will be deleted.
