Monument Searching Near the Plastic Bridge

All,

We took a few hours today to look for the two remaining Burlington County monuments along the Camden County line just south of Atsion and close to the plastic bridge. We walked almost two miles, and along the route we came upon a "Pipe Cemetery".

We continued on to monument 68. You can just barely see the 1935 inscribed in it.

We retraced our route and close by the plastic bridge we found number 69 in bad shape. You can see the 1935 better on this one.

I love the names we come up with for places.

It all stared for me with my friend naming "Unbridge".

What else was I going to call it? I now have over 600 permanent waypoints in my GPS and I have to come up with odd names to differentiate between locations. My manual says it only holds 500 but that is not true. I keep deleting some and adding twice as many and it still seems to hold them.

BTW, I noticed someone has AGAIN taken the dedication sign at the plastic bridge. They have even taken the other signs that were on the steel poles. I don't know why they even bother putting anything like that in the pines because people just can't leave things alone.

Daughter checking out the bridge around 5:30 P.M.
My Saturday & Sunday afternoons were spent checking out
What the rains did. And wow did they !! The water at the plastic
bridge looked like if you poured one cup in it would go right over
the edge. I noticed the missing sign too .
I have to ask myself.... why ?
Over at Miller's bogs in Winslow/Waterford the Spill way was
so choked that last week it did a number on the road that goes
through.
Was anyone out Saturday night... It was fannnntastic.
Little chilly last night though.
