A very nice ride, I've done it 3 or 4 times on 2 and 4 wheels and enjoyed every mile. Allow 3 days to get from Front Royal to Gatlinburg, Tn. The speed limit probably averages 35 mph, and with the views and stops along the way it takes longer than you might expect. Avoid weekends if possible as Skyline Drive can get busy, but where it ends and the Blue Ridge Parkway begins the crowds thin out.I've always wanted to drive the Blue Ridge Pkwy down to the Smokies.
