Even Andy Williams would salute her version of Moon River. That was pretty. I remember that a while back, you posted her version of Blue Moon. There's no doubt, you're over the moon for her. :)
Yeah, I'm going to have to explore how I determine what I've already posted for songs. I'll then have a list so I don't do them twice, or even thrice.

After two Irish artists and an English artist, it only seems fair to spread around the British Isles love. How about ninety seconds of Scottish whimsy?

The great Scottish singer Jean Redpath is one of my favorites. This song, O, Guid (Good) Ale Comes was originally composed by that noted son of Scotland, Robert Burns. The lyrics in modern English can be found below the player.

I do believe there are a few folks here on the forums who might be partial to a wee drop or two of guid ale. :guinness:

O, Guid Ale Comes
(lyrics in modern English)

O, good ale comes, and good ale goes,
Good ale makes me sell my hose,
Sell my hose, and pawn my shoes --
Good ale keeps my heart above!

I had six oxen in a plough,
And they pulled all well enough.
I sold them all just one by one --
Good ale keeps the heart above!

O, good ale comes, and good ale goes,
Good ale makes me sell my hose,
Sell my hose, and pawn my shoes --
Good ale keeps my heart above!

Good ale keeps me bare and busy,
Makes me meddle with the servant girl,
Stand in the stool when I have censure --
Good ale keeps the heart above!

Good ale keeps me bare and busy,
Makes me meddle with the servant girl,
Stand in the stool when I have censure --
Good ale keeps the heart above!

My stepdad loved Frankie Laine, and I heard so much of him, I grew to like him a lot even though he was an eye-talian. His father cut Al Capones hair for God's sake, in "Little Italy" in Chicago. He did "High Noon" on one of his albums. But the version I really like is on my CD: "The greatest Western Movie Themes", by the Ned Nash orchestra. This sounds so rich and smooth.
