Ry Cooder is a king of the slide guitar. I have at least one of his albums, maybe two. Coincidentally, I saw that movie again a month ago. Decent acting.
I have five or six of his albums.The above song may possibly be my favorite song ever.Makes me feel like I"m in the swamp.
Nevermind, nothing was happening earlier but now it's working.

A delightful little song by a master. Betcha' smile once.
Although Bruce wrote this song, and has been known to sing it, nobody sings it like Southside Johnny. Talk about feeling (Wow!). Clarence is in the background too.
Al, you couldn't find a recording of Walter Brennan doing Jungle Fever? 
He had quite a career in Hollywood, winning three Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor. Here he is in one of my favorite movies, To Have and Have Not, offering important advice on an insect pest. (However, I must differ with the relatively pro-cricket view portrayed here.)

From "Paint Your Wagon". Always been a Lee Marvin fan. But Clint Eastwood singing "I Talk to the Trees" is the best.
One of my favorite movies. Moves along at a good pace. Funny and musical. In particular I like that song Wandering Star.
This musta been before Clint got tough? Don't tell me Chuck Norris sings too:-(
Clint did this movie after: the Italian westerns; Coogans Bluff; and Where Eagles Dare. And before he did Kelly's Heroes.
Clint singing this song is the definition of irony. To me it's one of the funniest moments in a very funny film**.
I only know all this about Mr. Eastwood because I was in a communications class where the professor was infatuated with all things Clint. Having us write papers on the Dirty Harry films like they were the Iliad and the Odyssey. Bonus grading points were awarded if you drew correlations to other Eastwood films.
** Every time you see Lee Marvin take a shot of liquor. That was real booze. Supposedly written into his contract.
