Took a trip to the old brick factory, Harrisville ruins, and a few other places. I know that pictures of these places are pretty common, but these are very recent, and they are my own. :)

Heres a couple I snapped of that building on Savoy Ave in Chatsworth. Forget what its called ATM. All of the trash and grafitti at these sites really bothers me.

A really cool tree somewhere down south, near Belcoville I believe.

Nice shots, the schoolhouse looks like the one at Schoolhouse Rd and Somers Point-Mays Landing rd down in EHT. That would be out of the footprint of the others, though you do mention Belcoville though... so maybe. The Belcoville shot looks a lot like Columbia Rd in Hammonton.

Thanks for sharing your photo’s. The building with the graffiti has always been called the Sex Plant, and the water tower is all that is left of Pioneer Smelting. The tree is the big question here. You say it is from down south; however, it reminds me of the tree on Columbia Road in Hammonton which is shown in this photo.

Thanks. I think you are correct on both accounts. Alot of times I just wander around and take pictures of things that stand out to me without paying much attention to where I am. In fact, I had no idea what that paper mill was until I came home and researched it.

Nice pictures. I am always amazed when I see the pictures that others have taken. Even though I have pictures of the same sites I always get a different viewpoint from anothers pictures. I also feel that most of us on this site don't like the graffiti anymore than you do. Thanks for sharing.

Cool, I do that too... in fact, whenever I'm in the car or go anywhere I usually do have a camera on me. I have a Flickr site with pictures from some of my travels, mostly around Atlantic, Burlington, Ocean, and Hunterdon counties: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22516573@N07/

That picture of the Green Bank (Weekstown) bridge reminds me of this shot I took about a month ago, by laying the camera in the middle of the road near Lower Bank:

Michael, I just checked out your flickr page and you sure get around. I wish that I had carried a camera when I was younger and driving around even though my range was only around S.Jersey. BTW There is a Soprano's Pizza in Browns Mills.

Thanks Guy,

That was for a wedding for a friend of mine down in Cape May, I was a groomsman, and it was a lot of fun. About the Pizza, yup haha- one of the things that usually ends up interesting is oddly enough, pizza... from storefronts, the stuff Sopranos has out, or macros of the pizza itself :). You show up a few times on there, Lines on the Pines, and the hike back in November, glad you found yourself on there, pictures can easily get lost on there with so many lol. I have several sets on there where I've attemped to group some pictures too, Pine Barrens, Atlantic, Cape May, explorations etc.

Thanks Oij,

I've found so many times that when you take a camera along, there's always something interesting that pops up. This can range from an old ruin, to a funny sign, something scenic; to literally anything that seems like would make a good picture. I try to use my Flickr account to show some of these daily occurrences. Some day it’ll be interesting to look back on these and see how much has changed. Much like Shep21 (sorry don't mean to hi-jack this thread :) ) showed with the original pictures. You just don’t know what you're going to run into. Anybody on here feel free to bookmark the site, I'm always adding to it- many of which are local here around the pines. I actually have pictures from a few months back that still haven't been uploaded! I try to keep recent though when I can.

That’s cool about Sopranos; I didn't know they were up there too. I had heard there’s one over towards the Cherry Hill area. My favorite (at the Hammonton one) is the Tomato Pie.

Those Harrisville pictures look very dated. The last time I was there they were just rockpiles. I have shots from the mid 1960s and 1980s that show the sandstone walls even taller than that, but they are 35mm slides and I don't have a slide scanner yet to share. As an exploring boy, I could just walk up. As a young man, I saw picket fences. When I came home again, there was chain link. Progress, I guess, but it kind of breaks the heart of an old Piney.
