I was out exploring and think that i've found Calico, does it have an old camper near it that is in ruins? I also was looking for Nash's cabin but couldn't find it. I went in across from Harrisville and made that right at Martha and went to the left first and found a few huge puddles in the road so I got out and walk to see if I could find anything but couldn't. Then I went back to the fork and made a right this time and eventually came to the debris field on the left with the camper. Thanks guys

Nobody knows 100% for sure where Calico is. I was in that area last weekend.

I consider the area that the Ellis Adams farmhouse is in to be Calico. You pass that to get to the debris/camper spot.

Nash's Cabin (or what sould really be called Nash's garbage pit) is close to the Cranberry Bog Pumping station (which has been heavily damaged recently.) It's nowhere near Calico. Basically you drive past Martha, and go straight at the 4 way crossing over the sluiceway. Keep going and you'll eventually come to another fork. Go right and that very tight road will bring you to Nash's.

I'm not sure if anybody knows what that area near the camper was, but it was in existence long after Calico. What ever that area is, it seems that it was pretty substantial. There are more ruins on that road going toward stafford forge on the left. They appear to have been a hunting club maybe.

Yeah it did look fairly new to be Calico. What's wrong with the pumping station? I also noticed that if you stay on that road and keep going past the camper eventually you'll come to a 4 way intersection, if you make that right, the road is semi paved and eventually leads out to stage road near Pilgrim Lakes Campground, I wonder if this had anything to do with the debris field? I was out there last night, and they were doing test runs out of Warren Grove with the fighter jets, it was pretty cool because every minute or so they would drop a few flares and it would light up everything. Thanks for letting me know where I can find what's left of Nash's Cabin bruset. And thanks to everyone else for their imput.

I will try to post pics of the pumping station this weekend.

Edit: I just put the pics up in the gallery. I was mistaken - the station is in the same shape it was the last time I was there. It just looked like more around the "shaft" had been ruined. But I was mistaken.

I would love to go back to Nash's cabin when the weather warms. If anyone is up to it, let me know. Maybe a group of us could get together. My little 2 wheel drive tracker would get stuck in a mud hole! So often afraid to go out by myself.
My famous quote: "nothing is more terrifying then a woman being stalked through the darken woods by an unidentified, screaming animal." Which is exactly what happened to me there....

There aren't any mud holes on the way to Nash's cabin. The road gets very bumpy, but that's it.

That is good to know, (no mud holes). I will be traveling there soon.
This week I leave for my first vacation in 15 years. I will be going to New Orleans with my life long girlfriend. It will be our first trip together. She has been there several times on business.
I still keep in touch with some of the old time Pineys, so I am sure one of them will make a great guide.

Well, there is one thing even more terrifying...."a man being stalked through the darkened woods by an unidentified, screaming woman" :)

Sorry for bumping an old thread, however in lieu of the recent fires, this really hit home.
