I finally got there today, Oct 30. I drove up from Harrisville Lake, passing through Martha. It was an easy drive, no water. I decided to walk in the last .27 miles as the road looked tight. It was a very pretty hike over what is a large hill for that area.

The cabin foundation and the lake:

The foundation was cinder block and not very large, maybe 10 x 12 feet.

It had a grey slate floor:

Another view of the lake, which looks more like a bog, shallow and partially chocked with vegitation.

Of course I made a side trip to the Cranberry Pumping Station on the way out. It's still standing and a nice place to visit.
I couldn't get to what was the cut over cedar swamp, trees are growing up in the road.

Are you sure you were at the right spot? We were there just two years ago and there was a road leading right to it.

I think it's the right spot. It's really overgrown now and I didn't feel like getting ticks.

Hey, I was out around Martha today and noticed Nash's Cabin road on my GPS so drove part of the way and hiked the last mile or so. Very cool! I never really knew where it was before and it was definitely worth seeing.

On the road just before Nash's Cabin there are a bunch of very large non-native pine trees on both sides (white pines or something?) in an area that looks like it used to be cleared. Anyone know what used to be there (if anything)?

This weather has just been unbelievable recently; glad I've had the time to get out and enjoy it :)
