New Arney's Mount Trails - Columbus, NJ

Went with the two oldest kids on Saturday. Nice 2 1/2 mile loop with the Yellow and Red Trails. I usually hate paved trails, but this one has some pretty views across the fields.

The Red Trail goes up Arney's Mount itself (highest point in Burlington County). Sadly, the summit is private property and has a big tower on it, but there is some scattered stone up there. Stone was mined here to build the nearby Quaker Meeting House.

Thanks, I never knew they had a trail. My brother lived a mile or so down the road towards Pemberton on Arney's Mount road.

And I didn't know they had an extinct volcano. Nice to get up there, but looks dangerous.

I set the default vertical exaggeration for this map to 3x to bring out more detail in the Pines, but you can turn it off in the preferences and see the correct proportions.

Even when you turn it off, that is still an unusual geographic feature!

I like it with the exaggeration. It points things out that may have been missed.
