Should only be a problem if you have installed the "EasyDoc Converter" app on your Mac. But if you have, it sounds nasty….

How does Backdoor.MAC.Eleanor put my Mac at risk?
Backdoor.MAC.Eleanor creates a Tor hidden service that provides attackers with full anonymous access to the infected Mac remotely through a PHP-based local web server dubbed Web Service – via a Tor-generated address. Attackers then have the ability to access and modify files, execute shell commands, capture images and videos from iSight or FaceTime webcams, and more through a web-based control panel

Been using Avast for years, the free version on Windows. No issues, no problems, no infections during those years until their last update, which caused my browser IE11 to hang at times for 30 seconds. Avast techie gave me instructions for a fall back, but I didn't bother, its a minor nuisance.

I installed it and now I can't get my comcast mail. I will have to work on that.

The mail shield is stopping my mail. There are various settings I need to play with.

Solved. I had to add "mail.comcast.net" into the mail server not to be scanned.
