I just wanted to take a minute and say hi. I have been lurking here for a good while and enjoy most of the posts here on the forum. I have lived just about all my life here on the edge of the pine have always been interested in the local history. I don't seem to get to spend any time in the pines between work and my family. I have been using this forum to keep me up on all the news and whats going on.
 
Welcome to the forums! And try to steal at least a few minutes for yourself to get out into the pines from time to time - it's good for the soul. :)
 
Thanks, I do take the family with me. That was one of the things that we did as a family when I was little. Back in the 70's and 80's we used to go for a "ride". We just brought a lunch and and waited to see where the roads would take us (although I know my father knew where he was going). I just don't get a chance to go out enough.
