Garmin has released a new version of the US Topo Maps: http://www8.garmin.com/cartography/mapSource/topous.jsp

You can explore them here: http://www.garmin.com/cgi-bin/mapge...z=0&x=175&y=175&w=480&h=360&d=0&rz=0&k=1&sc=1

I'm still using my old version and haven't taken any time to compare. These maps are long overdue for an update however. Will be interesting to see what's different...

There's a $30 rebate if you upgrade from the old version:

Thanks. It's been out for several months now. I stopped attempting to compare it to the older version weeks ago. The only differences I noticed was that Topo now has street names for roads that priorly were un-named. They were listed as "Road" only. I'm not a huge Topo user, so don't let my comments steer anyone away from the upgrade.

Sorry guys, I don't understand the question.

If you are directing this to Bob an I, it is an inside joke by PBX hiking members that we don't need roads on a topo map. We only cross them when we come to them, never follow them. In reality, sometimes that is not true.
