NJ DOT Local Names List

I came across this just now. It looks like a collection of "local" names for places, and then the "proper" modern name/township that they're in. Might be useful for reference.

Good old Pestletown made the list !

Now, if we could only figure out how it got its name.
Jerseyman spent considerable time on that question a few years back and came up empty.
That doesn't happen very often.

Drat... Pig's Eye & Muttontown (Salem County) didn't make the cut .

Also note that Slabtown - Jacksonville, and Hog Wallow - Mt. Laurel, both Burlington County, are missing.
Maybe this column should accumulate suggested additions/changes, and send the result into to the DoT?
