There are some very sick people amongst us. Hopefully the names of those 2 'non-essentials' will somehow find their way onto Facebook and they'll suffer some rough justice. Today seems like a nice day for a ride to Lucilles for lunch and signing that petition.

What do you think of the last three line paragraph? I will start by saying do you think she may have been given the wrong information on who took them, or is the person who did it and came to eat an idiot?

I'd cast my vote in the idiot column.

Wow, how insensitive can someone be? I guess we shouldn't be surprised. I saw a little bit of America's funniest Videos today. A ten year old boy was hit in the genitals with a baseball bat and was rolling on the ground in pain, the audience roared in laughter. What kind of a society are we living in?

One in which you were a member of the audience for that TV show, as well as the commercials. We have seen the enemy, and it is ourselves... ;)

Well, not technically. I was in a convience store (old nelsons) where it was playing on a large screen TV over the coffee bar I was fixing my coffiee at. I only saw that scene in passing. I make a point not to watch that show at home. Also, I didn't laugh, I cringed.

I agree with Jeff about those shows. The worst ones are when a skateboarder goes down a hand rail and either lands hard on his head or cracks his tailbone. The audience goes bonkers with laughter, because they are all bonkers--their cackling makes them sound like lunatics. And they are lunatics. I used to wonder what rock those stars of "Jackass" crawled out from under--what it must have been like for their parents to realize who they really are.

I too only see them in passing, as I can't stand to watch it. The channel gets changed. I can count on one had the amount of channels I truly think of when I watch TV.

I can't get cable here and decided to wait on getting a dish until I missed TV. That was over 5 years ago and I still don't miss it. Before I moved here, I probably spent 4 hours a day watching TV. You should give it a try sometime - you'll be amazed how much more time you have for other things. Could you go "cold turkey" for a week? I doubt it. I know I couldn't have done that as long as the TV was available.

I have a big collection of bluray disks and DVD's, but don't have much attention span for them these days. I also listen to XM radio at home and in the car, so I get news and entertainment, but that doesn't anchor me down like the TV.

I watch very little TV and if not for my kids I would dump it. I prefer the internet.

It's funny. My daughter watched TV constantly as a kid and I often wondered if we were doing the wrong thing by allowing this. Today, she strictly limits her own daughter's TV time... maybe there's hope for us after all? :D
