Seems like this site might be the North Jersey* equivalent of what this site started out as.

I haven't gone into too much depth but it looks like it avoids the typical WeirdNJ nonsense. Long Pond ironworks looks like it'd be a great place to visit this winter.

Long Pond Iron Works is a state park.

It has a 501c(3) for it that holds tours in season, similar to Whites Bog and Allaire.

Yeah, they've been rolling out this new style of map for other state forests/parks. I like the look/design of it.

Those are based on the more extensive, wonderful New York-New Jersey Trail Conference maps that are printed on Tyvek, regularly updated, and available for purchase (reasonable prices). Really nice maps. I don't believe the state is involved in creating them in any way although I could be wrong.
