We revisited one of only about two known locations in the pines that the Large Whorled Pogonia (Isotria Verticillata) grow. Bob has theorized, and I agree, that the seeds were deposited when someone from North Jersey or other locations brought a motorcycle or ATV trailer to the area and the seeds fell off. Three years ago they were already blooming but this year they are very late. Maybe in two weeks or so I will return. I counted about 12 of them.

We also saw others.

I walked right by it and Jessica gave me a hard time about that.

Nice shot on that star flower Guy. They are notoriously difficult to photograph without flashback from the snow white color.

That's a beautiful Rough Green! I had one as a pet when I was a kid about a million years ago.

I checked on the population of Isotria verticillata by me and saw about 18. None were blooming but one looked like it had remnants of a flower.
