You do mean August 27th right? Although having it on sale for a year would sure get their sales numbers up.

I think its time to get something newer, appreciate the heads up!

Yes, all of the Oregon series can use regular Garmin maps (vector-based), Custom Maps (imagery) and BirdsEye downloads. They are compatible with all the files I have posted here: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/byuser/282/

Cool! Let us know how you like it - this is a great deal. According to all the reports I've read, the screen on the 450 is a significant improvement over all the other Oregon's, even the 550. And with recent firmware updates, accuracy on the whole Oregon series has improved to the point of surpassing the 60csx. I think you will be happy.

My 60csx was letting me down yesterday. Scott had mentioned that he calibrates his all the time and I never have. It was pointing in the wrong direction all day. It always seems to do that when I am out with Rob from work. We decided not to trust it since we both felt it was wrong, and in one minute we reached the Jersey Central Tracks. Report later today or tomorrow. I have hardly slept in two days.

Chris calibrated my 60csx yesterday and said it took way longer than his ever did to complete. After that it seemed to work well.

I placed the Wharton 2007 aerial in the Custom Map folder but it does not show up. Any tips?
