If you read the review they like the previous version (SX700 HS) of my camera which has less megapixels. When they upgraded to 20.3MP the camera now gets grainy over 400 ASA.


Unlike my old camera, this is what happens all the time with this camera in low light.

BTW, that is a Ribbon Snake that Jessica found in a tree at Friendship Bogs while we were looking for tree frogs on May 8.

Asphodel is in bloom. Club-Spur is close too. The hybrids are leafed (single basal) and the Deer flies are in full bloom.

An early Crested Yellow Orchid (Platanthera cristata) we photographed today. Maybe in a week or so they will be at peak. Jessica and I traveled through a few new places today but came up empty.

The Yellow Crested Orchids are blooming. Not a good photo. I will go back soon.

Went back this morning to take a few more and it looks like the deer may have ate a few. Actually, quite a few. So we moved on and Jessica noticed this in a hole.

That is a rare but beautiful Koosh Ball. Nice find Bob :) I see them all the time in the pines ... in baby strollers.

fertile grass fronds! I love em.The White fringed and buttonbush as well.All are good! and of course blueberries are slammin. Found a bunch of ripe raspberry bushes right next to the road down here.goin pickin tomorrow.
