All,
Yesterday afternoon Bob, Chris, Jessica, and I maneuvered some old cedar logs on the edges of the Cedar Creek preparing for a PBX hike in the fall. The creek is quite wide in this area and for the most part it is low; however, on both edges it is too deep to cross without the water going over our knee highs. Getting wet is not really a problem on a PBX hike, but having to walk long distances with wet pants can really cause some chafing in the thighs. We wanted to keep that to a minimum so we worked today to lessen the chance of this happening.

The creek for the most part is quite sandy, but there are pockets of sediment that cause you to sink quite deep. This shows Bob in one trying to get out.

This cutout appears to me to have been man made. The next photo makes me believe at one time this was used possibly as a bridge. Bob is doubtful.

We made the bridge on one side of the creek with a railing so if it hangs in there you won't need one. That was Bob's idea.
