The mention of those "humps" got me all excited. I always called them whoops and some people call them whoop dee do's (spelling?). I'm more of an ATV guy and yes, even the ATV's can skip across them like motocross bikes. I'll always remember a guy teaching me how to ride across whoops back by Chatsworth. He said put it in third, floor it, put your butt as far back as you can and keep the frontend light. He then added, once you get going, don't stop! It was pretty scary at first but he was right, the faster you go the easier you glide over them. But during an enduro or hare scramble race, whoops can wear you out so fast. Your arms pump up with blood and become useless. So much fun but can also be a painful experience. Haha. Thanks for bringing this up. To me riding in the Pine Barrens and whoops go hand and hand.
