Someone I know wants to hike the Batona and park at Quaker Bridge. Any recommendations on where to park? I know they have put restrictions on parking in that area.

Parking areas are included in the NJDEP State Park POI on my 2020 topo. The ones in Wharton all seem to be the obvious ones that everyone knows, such as Atsion

This won't help your friend, but might be of general interest... There are quite a lot of "official" parking areas in the WMA's that surprised me. Just one example, but they are all over the WMA's. You need to zoom in to levels 15, 16 or 17 to see the POI as you browse the map.

The same data I used for my map can also be downloaded for Google Earth and other software, just choose KML from the Download menu. Can't remember... I think that Garmin Basecamp can convert .kml files to .gpx for use on your GPS. You can also view a spreadsheet of all the POI at this link, just click the "Data" tab.

Just the morning and early afternoon. He moves along quite well. Today he went from Carranza to Lower Forge and back by 1:30.

Thanks to everyone for the tips.
Thats what I did the first time I walked the Batona Trail.I did it in eight section up and back because I was alone. It was middle of winter late 80's.I actually did it twice by the time I completed it:) Then Bill and I walked it in four sections south to north and shuttled. My eight sections started at the north end and worked south.
