RAIN?

I was out in the woods at twilight watching that storm approach, there was a wall of dark, churning clouds approaching fast. Very impressive and ominous. Stayed out until the last minute and the rain started just as I stepped onto my porch. But then it just seemed to fall apart and we got no measurable rain and no significant wind either.

The storm has been hanging around my area all evening. The rain comes and goes but mainly goes. Nothing of concern so far.
 
It was a rainy night with plenty of lightning and thunder. Sirens still going for a few hours and still going.
 
This reminds me what it is like in Florida during the summer; wet, wet, wet. More of the same today and tomorrow, then a nice weekend, then more next week.
 
A few miles sure makes a big difference. Had a long day out in the woods from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM yesterday and we had nothing. Dry as a bone outside this morning with no rain overnight either.
 
Been sitting here on RT-44 in West Deptford awhile now, due to flooding. There's a car that been floating for the last couple of hours.

This stretch of highway has flooded regularly for the last 50-years, at least.
 
Looks like a dry week ahead (for a change). We only got a trace of rain in the past 24 hours here, but that was enough to make the humidity really oppressive today.. Wonder if we'll need to start another "drought thread" this summer? :)
