I agree with you, Ed. All these snake photos are cool, but I think the green is becoming my favorite.

you got it! pitch pine pollen was everywhere and i thought it was cool how it made swirling patterns sitting on the puddles;thanks for the compliments people.

ah,i was wondering if anyone got that!that's a goofy name i coined for the pine barrens version of timber rattler,hence the 'cran'.....anyway,thanks for the kind words folks.here's a few others......

that hog is confused.he has a rattler like pattern and is exhibiting cobra like behavior.Thats it! Hognose snakes must be an evolutionary link between new world rattlesnakes and old world cobras!Mystery solved! We have found the missing link!

These photos are wonderful- the snakes are gorgeous, and I love the beautiful splash of cobalt on the lizard's belly. I've never seen one of those. It looks like he is in mid-molt in this photo.
