People may complain about his defense spending, but because of him my place of employment thrived, and my standard of living improved dramatically. I worked 58.5 hours a week throughout his tenure. That was the negative, but I was able to buy a house and raise my kids without worry of not being able to pay the bills. That ended shortly after he left, and has not returned. A sad day for me.

I give credit to Nancy for caring for him so devotedly during the hard final ten years. The choir sang America the Beautiful very wonderfully at the state funeral.
