I was on the Red Road yesterday and found that they have patched some of the sandy spots using mulch. The biggest streach was new Rt 72.

Maybe one of the gun clubs complained, or maybe they did it.

I have written the man I know who is a member of the gun club near there to see what he knows about it. I will have an answer one way or another tomorrow.

Where is this Red Road?
The only red road I know of runs between 539 and Dans Bridge road but Google Earth labels it Dump road.

It is Stevenson Rd. It runs from Rt 72 to Sims Place. Red Rd is only a nickname for it because of the red clay that was used to make it.

It looks like North Carolina, red clay and pine trees.

Is sims road passable or is it gated I see it runs from red road to 539.
 
Is there anyway to get from 539 to Stephenson road?
Perhaps Bever Dam Road or is that blocked too?
Or off 563 taking the split to the left just after the ocean spray plant?
