Just got a new deer lease down in Mullica off of Elwood road and while scouting it out, there are lots of old roads (now just paths) and what appears to be steep hills (embankments) and old depressions that may have been foundations. I think its a bit far from amatol track to have been part of that scene so I figured it was probably tied to the munitions factory. Here is what appears to be an entrace to an old sewer line, now out in the middle of the woods.

wow thanks Boyd, very cool, so it looks like the plant did indeed extend all the way to the area I have. I assume there was a road or railway through there and the hole I found was for sewer or water access. Unless it was a bunker or something.

Bionicrooster most media software gives you an option to rotate your pics so they are upright. If you like I can save these images and rotate them for you and send em back.two of them are on their sides.

Also, consider re-sizing them. Back here in the woods, all I can get is slow DSL. I gave up trying to view the pictures, they would not load in a reasonable amount of time. Try re-sizing them to no more than 800 pixels wide, then put them directly into your posts and it won't be necessary to open attachments. :)

Flipped and resized! Going to be back there this weekend gonna do some more exploring. may take my metal detector for the private land that I lease. also FYI the sand pit is not on my land, I stumbled across while walking and trying to identify the property lines of my lease.
