This past Sunday, me and my friend George decided to return to the Dover Forge area, at 12m we were to meet up with BobPBX at Dover and Lacey Road. After exchanging pleasantries we followed him in our car to the Dover area. This outing was way more in depth as Bob is an expert on this area, on arrival he led us to this spot.
He then pointed out this old shoe. This place was tick infested.
Then we found this piece of slag in the area.
Loyalty
Then he led us to this ruin, taking the following two pics.
A second pic of the ruin.
We then went back to our cars riding to in and around the Bamber-Cedar Crest area, upon entering the woods Bob led us to this area viewing first this. Notice how his dog was standing guard.
Bob and my friend looking at a stone in the area.
A third pic of the site. The stone in this pic in the depression, the top was painted blue, hard to distinguish in this pic.
A fourth pic of the area. Notice the post, they were strewn around the area.
We then decided to call it a day, and go back home, upon leaving we said our goodbyes and told Bob it was a great day for exploring and thanking him for the outing.
I then proceeded down Dover Road across Lacey Road west wanting to take this way to rt.539, in my travels to and from the Bamber area i always wanted to stop and take in the view and take a pic of this stream, i wish i could explore in here.
Then proceeding south on rt.539, we made a left onto rt.72 east, as my friend wanted to see the Cedar Bridge Tavern again, upon showing him the hotel, i decided i might as well show him one of the ruins of the Cedar Bridge Fire Tower.
Upon showing him the ruin i then returned to rt.72 going west to Stevenson Road to Jenkins Road taking the following three pics of the ruin site around Oswego Lake, the first pic.
A second pic. Notice the pipe.
A third and final pic of the ruin site.
Leaving the site we then proceeded to rt.563, then wanting to take Carranza Road, i made a left at Speedwell going to Carranza Road to Tabernacle, my friend's house was close so we decided to top the day off with some cold Buds.
Another great day in the pines, thank you once again Bob.
