Hopefully not a repost. Batteries were about dead in the camera so I only got a few shots of the remains of Sandy Ridge.

That's an impressive cellar hole.

That cellar hole is in good shape. I drove by that hundreds of times until I found it by accident a couple of years ago.

We have discussed this before. The 1950 topo map I have shows more back in the woods that are not shown on the newer topo's. I posted it a while back.

Great photos! There's another cellar hole toward the back road that's filled with household garbage. One of these days my husband and I are going to hook up a trailer and drive down and clean that cellar hole out.

where is sandy ridge located? i can't say i've ever been there before

It is right on Carranza road near Friendship. At least that is where the ruins are. Some maps show the area on the other side of Carranza as Sandy Ridge.

Leave Friendship heading toward Carranza....the road curves to the left...then the right..and start looking for ruins on the left.
