From what I have heard most area fire companies have been called out. Couldn't the NJ Forest Fire Service send their helicopters over to drop ocean water on the fire?

I heard the same thing, my nephew is with the Tuckerton FD and has been called in. RT 37 bridge is beeing closed on and off. The south wind is 20-35 mph now and pretty steady, which probably rules out 'copters or planes. They are pumping ocean water on it as the hydrants can't handle all the fire trucks. Hopefully the rain gets here soon.
Saw a bunch of fire trucks screaming up the Garden State Parkway around 7pm, and that was all the way down near Somers Point. Must be bad if they need reinforcements from that far away.

Firefighters from as far away as Cape May, Burlington and Union counties came to assist local firefighters – including every department from Ocean County, officials said.
Between 400 and 500 firefighters were on the scene.
