Sort of pines related, if you clam the marine waters bordering the pines.
The State officially banned shellfish harvesting statewide on Saturday night, before the hurricane passed through.

Strangely, I didn't receive an email notice from NJDEP to my work email address or at home until yesterday.
My wife, my son and I clammed last Tuesday before the storm and got 380. Luckily, I still have about 70 left for this weekend.

If those clams you order in a restaurant this Labor Day weekend taste a little crappy, they just may be a little crappy !

I was planning on make clam chowder this weekend but I guess that's not going to happen. From what I read in an article in APP yesterday, a member of the state Shellfish Council stated that they could possibly open up harvesting as early as the middle of this coming week.
