Here are couple signs many of you might have seen before. As a public service I thought I would clarify what these signs mean in case there was any confussion.

The state parks are strickly carry in/carry out, due to fact that garbage cans attract enormous great horned owls with 30' wingspans.

No swimming in Wells Mills lake, because that is where the alien lives...and he's HUNGRY!!!!!!

hope that clears things up.

Do you think owls really get in those garbage cans? I find it hard to believe. What would be in the garbage they would want to eat? They eat small animals, just can't imagine one feasting off a chicken leg someone tossed out. Maybe when the garbage attracks smaller animals like mice or squirral. Someone proberly viewed this and thought the owl was after the garbage.

I always thought the first sign meant the owls weren't allowed to fly away with the trash. And the alien has paddles instead of fingers on it's hands. You would think they'd be able to swim better. Thanks for clearing this up for me Jeff.

The only location anywhere near 72 and the Red Road that has a 218 foot elevation is located in the Greenwood Forest in the rye fields. Bob and I visited there back in 2004 and walked to that point. What is interesting about that location is because the land around it is at almost the same elevation you have no idea you are on one of the highest places in South Jersey.

It is located here.

The V shaped field is where I trained all my dogs, never knew I was up so high :) That back lot is also where the flatbeds of ATV's used to park when they went riding thru the Quail area.

Here is a recent one...Mr. Jack on the left with a friend.

Jeff

He is getting big! And he looks like he will be a big hit with the ladies :) Then again his "Friend" makes that obvious

found hill to day 218 ft in gigmy pines 72 and red road

Nice to meet you today. I apologize for not believing you when you said we were standing in Bass River State Forest "North". I still maintain though....that is a strange name for a section of State Forest absolutely nowhere near the Bass River.

As to the 218 foot hill, I like to think your GPS was off just a little, but I have no reason to doubt you. Do you have coordinates for the hill? I'll go there and see if I get the same thing.

Hope you enjoyed the rest of your day.

Nice meeting you today also. You held your ground quite well against Bob! He really is a nice guy and we both hope our paths meet again.
