A few tidbits of info that I have learned recently.


The gun club at Friendship Bogs is called the Pioneer Gun Club, or at least it was in the 50's.

Also, if you have ever explored the area just a short distance down the road from the Batsto Fire Tower which is commonly called The "Fred Jervis" place, you can now call it the Samuel Jervis place. Fred Jervis is not correct.

The property consists of 38.7888 acres, and was acquired by the state in either 1967 or 1969. I can't quite distinguish if it is a 7 or a 9.

I saw an ex gun club sell for ~$100k. I think it was advertised on the Pineypower website.

Interesting info Guy, I've always wondered about the pioneer gun club. Now I can refer to it by name. This area you are refering to near the basto tower..I can't picture that. I'll have to check it out.

Here is the area in question. Notice the black dot within the boundary. That was the dwelling. If you go there check out the well.
