Some spotted turtles

Here are some pictures of some spotted turtles found on the edge of the southern pine barrens. A couple dozen were seen in total so appears poachers haven't found this spot yet.

Thanks, when I'm down there I know they are safe, but that leaves six days out of the week for the collectors.

Nice..
I wonder if there are turtles in the Long Island Pine barrens. I guess I have to look in wetland or marshy areas.
I know we got snakes, I see shed skins all the time, but so far, no snake.

LongIsland, these guys should be there(spotted's), box turtles, painted, snapper, and musks should be fairly common. I'm sure you've walked past a few, if your not looking for them they can go unoticed most of the time. Here is a list of the one's in new york,

Thats great, I used to see them in my explorations as a kid but then one day they decided to straighten out the slow meandering stream to allow faster storm runoff and they disappeared :-(
