Not one to be kept indoors . . . birds are the obvious choice in winter to help keep the madness at bay. Here's some of what I've seen:

Obligate harlequin shot

Ipswich savannah sparrow

Brant

Long-eared

Sanderling

GBH

Pintail

Dunlin

Turnstone

Sharpie (w/ purple sandpiper)

RWBB

Bonaparte's

Short-eared

Red-breasted Nuthatch

Hope you enjoyed!

Wonderful photos!
I've had Red winged blackbirds at my feeder all winter and had them on both the Oceanville and Marmora Christmas Bird Counts.

Hey thanks everyone.

Yeah the blackbirds are apparently "around" during the winter, but they all became super-obvious again recently.

Real nice Bob!! I am always on the look out for owls but I've never seen a long- eared or short- eared close enough to positively identify them before.
