As a sort of right of passage, I've taken all the new cameras I've gotten during the past 8 years to Spring Hill. So since it was so nice today, I decided to christen the D80
It was very warm and a bit muggy, but a nice breeze up on the hill made it quite enjoyable.
Here you can see Bear Swamp Hill in the distance through the opening in the trees: http://forums.njpinebarrens.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10294/DSC_0103.JPG
And a shot of Bear Swamp Hill from out in the open: http://forums.njpinebarrens.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10294/DSC_0021.JPG

Pygmy pines out on a trail to nowhere. As others have observed, these little trees are getting bigger since there haven't been any fires in a long time. I took this shot by holding the camera as high above my head as I could reach: http://forums.njpinebarrens.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10294/DSC_0019.JPG
A nice vista: http://forums.njpinebarrens.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10294/DSC_0039.JPG
And finally, putting it all together, here's a panorama of 8 separate shots covering about 180 degrees (you will need to scroll this window unless your screen is over 4,000 pixels wide
