Nothing better than a really cold autumn day in October for photography. I'd take temps in the 20's or 30's year round. No bugs, easier to hike distance, and when the ground is frozen you can access savannah's, bogs and edges of streams that are normally hard to walk through.

Yea, even though I hate the cold weather, it is so much easier to walk around in the woods. And to see.
