Stop Signs at Bridge

I would have to believe that something must have happened on Jones Mill Road/ Chatsworth Tuckerton Road at the bridge for someone to have placed a stop sign on both sides of the bridge. Maybe two cars crashed????

Does the bottom sign say 'To Oncoming Traffic'? Looks like a couple sections of bridge have been replaced.

Yes. However, the bridge seemed the same to me but I did not inspect it.

Did they add the sand filled crash attenuators? (The orange & white "wings" off of the abutments)?
Perhaps someone hit the abutment.

From my car everything seems to be still intact. With the stop signs on both sides I would think someone had a problem with another vehicle and the end result is what we see. Just guessing really.

They have a car counter there on the next nearby bridge. I am wondering if they plan on widening them, paving the road or both.
