1) New Gretna House burned down. Sad, another historical landmark lost.
2) An F-16 in Little Egg Harbor missed its target and fired on an elementary school accidentally.
3) Alaska voted to legalize marijuana but it did not pass.
4) The Local 54 strike is finally over. (older news)

I caught the end of that story on the 11 o'clock news last night. Twenty five or so lead head duds, 20mm rounds. Most of them hit the ground but a few hit the building damaging the brickwork. The guy on the news said that it was a middle school.

I've heard the expression "Timing is everything" and it couldn't be more true in this case. Thank God that no children were about.

I wonder how often this sort of thing happens.
