Tabernacle gun club seeking a liquor license

Township Committee members have asked Quail Ponds Inc., which owns more than 16 acres off Goose Pond Road, to provide them with more information before they consider issuing a club license.

Thanks for posting this Guy. As you know that is my new haunt so to speak. The gun club is a bit down the road. I don't suppose the license will affect much of anything but the club itself. I am surprised they want the license...pretty expensive for a few functions a year and everybody has been Byob for a while now.

Yeah, why would they want a liquor license? Maybe they need one to provide free beer to members.

I think a 'club' license is like the ones held by the VFW, Am Legion, Elks, Etc. that allows wet functions including catering to weding receptions, etc. Maybe they're gonna spruce the place up and have hall rentals...that could be lucrative.

Thanks Guy, I figured you were thinking of me. It shouldn't affect me at all. The club is a good ways down the road and any noise from drunken rowdiness would probably disapate before reaching me. it is a nice club house they got there and they are remote enough that I doubt they would be much of an annoyance to anybody, except for a large farm house across the way from them.

As a side note to this thread: Shortly after I moved into my current house, a gun club when up for sale across the street. As I recall they advertised it as zoned commercial (but I highly, highly doubt that it was true) It was on the market for a while and then one day the signs went down and it has been abandoned ever since, that was 10 years ago. I wonder what ever became of the ownership? I ought to check the tax maps.
