Yes, a stereo zoom 50X, which will see that critter.

We use them at work. When the inspectors check our parts we always worry about what the "Hubble Microscope" will find

According to the article, those critters are actually pretty big - 1/2 millimeter. You can see that with the naked eye, although you would need a microscope to see much detail.

Tardigrades average 500 um, half a MM. About the size of the period at the end of this sentence. A head of a pin is about 2 MM. They might be better seen with a good hand lens (10x) or standard dissecting scope 10x,20,30x I would think.

That will be great to search and view them with. It would be really excellent if you could take pics of them(assuming you will find some). I had never heard of them until your posting. They are a fascinating critter. Happy hunting!
