The ultimate ghost town, Chernobyl

One lady's motorcycle ride through Chernobyl

This is a facinating page full of photographs and descriptions of a lady's trip through the ghost town of Chernobyl, USSR. Chernobyl, of course, was the site of the world's worst nuclear disaster to date. The population of the entire area was permanently removed within a very short span of time, leaving behind the buildings, homes, and stores in a "dead zone" where no one lives.

This lady's english is not the best, she's not a professional photographer, and the page is lengthy, but it's certainly worth looking through and reading.

Bit far from Jersey though

That was an interesting site. I don't think I would want to explore there. She is taking a risk as her meter shows.

I'd do it. Who knows what i was exposed to at Heritage Minerals...

I was there too....before I knew it was a 50k fine! Is it a superfund cleanup site? What is there that is so dangerous? It looked like a small Cherynobl, didn't it?
